Box 1035 EH <br /> Linden, CA 95236 <br /> Subject: forge Padilla Tire Disposal, San Joaquin County, TPID No. 1000522 <br /> Dear Mr. Jorge Padilla: <br /> California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) staff along with officers from <br /> the California Highway Patrol conducted an inspection of one of your vehicles during a <br /> roadside checkpoint event held on January 26, 2004 near the Golden By-Products <br /> facility located in Merced County. The vehicle inspected was a 1991 Ford pickup, <br /> license number 61-78002. The vehicle was inspected pursuant to Division 30, Public <br /> Resources Code (PRC), Section 43303. The vehicle along with the accompanying <br /> paperwork, related to waste/used tire hauling was evaluated for compliance with <br /> applicable sections of the PRC and Title 14, California Code of Regulations (CCR). <br /> Based on the vehicle inspection conducted on the above date, the following violation of <br /> Title 14, CCR was documented: <br /> 14 CCR 18460.2 (h) Waste Tire Manifest System Requirements for <br /> Registered Haulers. The waste tire hauler shall <br /> not transport used or waste tires without a <br /> properly completed Manifest Form and Tire Trip <br /> Log. <br /> Please be advised that transporting waste or used tire without a properly completed <br /> manifest or trip log is a violation of Title 14, CCR as referenced above and is punishable <br /> by civil fines of up to $25,000 per violation [PRC, Section 42962(a)].
