2 AGENCY DISCUSSIONS <br /> The Lead Agency for this site remediation is the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Service, Environmental Health Division The current contact is Jeffrey Wong, REHS, <br /> LOP/Site Mitigation Unit IV 304 East Weber Ave , Sd Floor, Stockton, CA 95202, (209) <br /> ' 468-0335 <br /> ' The initial meeting since D K Barber's hire was held September 19, 2000 between <br /> WO&S's Jeff Hopkins, PHS/EHD's Jeff Wong and Dot Lofstrom and D K Barber P E & <br /> Associates' Dan Barber The PHS/EHD representatives said that they could not accept <br /> the contention that the "shallow water' body was isolated from the deeper groundwater <br /> table, additional definition of any groundwater contamination was necessary and that the <br /> mass of contamination if left in situ would have to be better defined to estimate any long <br /> term impact or risk <br /> PHS/EHD stated in its September 22, 2000 letter to the owner, WO&S, that a monitoring <br /> ' well with a full season of sampling is required as part of the groundwater contamination <br /> investigation, 3 additional borings utilizing direct push technology (DPT) to define the <br /> lateral extent of the groundwater contamination, the extension of one of the 3 DPT <br /> borings and collection of a grab groundwater sample, implied collection from the "shallow <br /> water body" 30 FT bsg and that the work be implemented no later than November 15, <br /> 2000 Reference Appendix F, " Correspondence between Western Oil & Environmental <br /> Health Division" <br /> The D K Barber P E and Associates' "Work Plan for Soil and Groundwater <br /> Characterization, dated October 17, 2000", addressed several areas of concern and <br /> specifically addressed protocols and safety plan requirements for the Acampo Plant Site <br /> ' Two well drilling permits were issued one for Fisch Environmental Services and the other <br /> for Woodward Drilling Inc <br /> 1 <br /> 2-1 <br /> r <br />
