Area Conditions <br /> The site is located within the Great Valley of California The surficial lithology of the area <br /> ' consists mainly of the alluvium flood and delta plain deposits of two mayor rivers (the <br /> Sacramento to the north and the San Joaquin to the south and their tnbutanes <br /> Immediately south of the site is the Mokelumne River with established flood plains on <br /> both sides as it proceeds west to meet the Sacramento River in the confluence's delta <br /> r area <br /> The site property rests on Quaternary Alluvium Deposits (Qal), consisting of interbedded <br /> silty sands to sandy silts Typical depth to first encountered ground water in 19981 was <br /> ' 50 feet The average ground elevation of the site is 60 feet above mean sea level The <br /> average annual rainfall was 17 inches between 1961-19902 The setting is residential — <br /> agricultural The foreseeable use of the site is light industrial development <br /> 2 1.1 Site History <br /> The following background information relates site history information gathered from <br /> conversations with WO&S management and the 1999 Gallardo report <br /> r <br /> Historic use of the site was likely agricultural production until 1955 At that time Mr Lloyd <br /> ' Moore moved his company Moore and Sons from the comer of Cherokee Lane and <br /> Lockeford Street in Lodi, to the present location Sometime during the 1960's the <br /> ' company was sold to the Van Lobensels who named the company Western Asphalt <br /> i <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Lines of Equal Depth Publication for 1998 available SJCo <br /> ' PIISIEHD <br /> z US Department of Agriculture,Natural Resources Conservation Service <br /> 2-1 <br /> 1 <br /> r <br />
