' Appendix A <br /> ' HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> Health and Safety Plan <br /> Western Oil & Spreading and Associates, Inc has reviewed this project and other <br /> ' similar projects to develop the following site-specific safety plan The safety plan <br /> will be presented to all personnel conducting field work at the initial on-site health <br /> and safety meeting <br /> Project Safety Authority <br /> tStaff members responsible for project safety are <br /> Project Manager Dan Barber <br /> Project Safety Coordinator Chris Walker <br /> On-site Safety Coordinator Tim Phillips <br /> The Project Manager is responsible for the dissemination of the information <br /> contained in this plan to all Western Oil & Spreading and Associates, Inc <br /> personnel assigned to the project, and to the responsible representative of each <br /> subcontractor firm working under Western Oil & Spreading and Associates, Inc on <br /> the project The Project Safety Coordinator is responsible for the development and <br /> implementation of the health and safety procedures descnbed in this plan and the <br /> site Injury Prevention Plan program The On-Site Safety Coordinator is <br /> responsible for the enforcement of all policies and practices of this safety plan <br /> ' Job Hazard and Risk Assessment <br /> ' Soils and water analysis have indicated that only diesel and motor oil <br /> contamination is present BTXE results indicate these constituents are not <br /> significant User history at the site indicates no gasoline was stored at the site <br /> It is anticipated that motor oil, diesel, and associated aromatic compounds may be <br /> encountered during drilling, excavating, and sampling The aromatic compounds <br /> that may be encountered include benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene <br /> Benzene is of primary toxicological significance because it is a documented <br /> A- 1 <br />
