Ken Gillies Page 2
At this time PHS/EHD recommends that a workplan be submitted for additional investigation of
the limits of the contamination by June 1, 1995. The workplan should include the installation
of at least one upgradient and one downgradient monitoring well in order to define the current
limits of the plume. The work described in the workplan should be completed by June 30, 1995.
If the additional wells can be installed and sampled prior to the end of the second quarter of 1995
then all the data may be submitted in the second quarter 1995 quarterly monitoring report.
A drilling permit issued to V and W Drilling for this site will expire on August 12, 1995. An
additional permit will be required for the subsurface investigation of the adjacent downgradient
parcel.
For further information please contact Steven Sasson at (209) 468-3459.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
2/i2assokS %HS DianeM. inson, REHS
Site Mitigation Unit Supervisor
SS
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
cc: Barbara Anderson, SWRCB
cc: Vic Chervin, Upgradient Environmental Consultants
