Ir
Mr. Ken Gillies •
Gillies Trucking
3931 Newton Road, Stockton
During conversations with Mr. Muir, it was noted that since there has been additional
development in the area since the sensitive receptor survey of your vicinity was reported
in June 1999 and that significant site characterization data has been obtained since the
Problem Assessment Report (PAR) of October 1996 was prepared, it would be prudent
to update these documents. The EHD concurs with this recommendation and directs that
the updates be prepared and submitted to the EHD by Q3 March 2008. Also, as you
have a new consultant, Mr. Muir should review the site conceptual model (SCM) and
update it in accordance with his professional opinion; the updated PAR can be submitted
in the context of the reviewed or updated SCM. If additional data is needed to complete
these updates, submit a work plan with the technical justification to acquire the data.
In view of the above directives and being mindful that some additional time would be
helpful for your new consultant to become familiar with your site, the 07 January 2008
due date to report on an evaluation of potential remedial methods to address impacted
soil on your site is waived; a new due date will be set after review of the PAR/SCM.
Questions or comments may be directed to Nuel Henderson by mail (address on letter
head), or by telephone at (209)468-3436.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Nuel C. Henderson, Jr., PG Margarel Lagorio, REHS
Engineering Geologist Program Coordinator
Unit IV- Site Mitigation Unit IV— Site Mitigation
cc: James L.L. Barton, PG — CVRWQCB
Stephen Muir, PG, EG, GP— Muir
