0 0 <br /> BACTERIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL MONITORING <br /> REQUIREMENTS for <br /> NON TRANSIENT NON COMMUNITY (NTNG) WATER SYSTEMS <br /> Serving the same 25 or more individuals z 180 days per year (4630) <br /> SECONDARY (AESTHETICS): Bicarbonate, carbonate, and hydroxide <br /> alkalinity, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, pH, sodium, and total <br /> hardness are due at least once (California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title 22, <br /> Section 64449). <br /> INORGANIC CHEMICALS: Required once every three years (CCR, Title <br /> 22, Section 64432 (b)(1)). This Department currently waives asbestos and <br /> cyanide. <br /> NITRATES: Required annually (CCR, Title 22, Section 64432 (a)). <br /> If result is greater than one half of the MCL of 45 mg/L, than quarterly <br /> monitoring will be required. <br /> NITRITES: Required once every three years (CCR, Title 22, Section 64432 <br /> (a))• <br /> VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOCs): Required once every 6 <br /> years (CCR, Title 22, Section 64445.1.) <br /> SYNTHETIC ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (SOCs): Required once every <br /> three years (CCR, Title 22, Section 64445.1). This Department currently <br /> waives SOCs except for DBCP and EDB. If result is above the Detection Limit <br /> than quarterly sampling will be required. <br /> BACTERIOLOGICAL: Required monthly from the distribution system <br /> (CCR, Title 22, Section 64421, 64423 (a)). After a positive result, four repeats <br /> must be taken within 24 hours of being notified of the positive result and five <br /> routine samples shall be taken the following month.
