EHD
has also received and reviewed Fourth Quarter 2002 Report, dated 15 January
2003.
The WP presents discussions of several points of concern raised by EHD in
correspondence dated 26 November 2002 and specific work plan proposals. The
points of concern discussed included:
• Vertical extent of impacted ground water;
• Hydraulic properties of the sand bodies; and
• Delineation and characterization of Modesto Formation channel deposit.
EHD will reserve comment on these discussions pending review of the findings
for the proposed site investigation report except as they may bear on the
proposed work plan elements. Specific site characterization proposals presented
in the work plan included:
• Conducting a down hole camera survey of the domestic well onsite;
• Conducting pumping tests of the Gullies and Bardot domestic water wells;
• Destroying and replacing the Gullies domestic water well; and
• Conducting a cone penetrometer testing (CPT) investigation onsite.
UEC proposes to implement the WP during the second quarter 2003. The WP
also includes a discussion of EHD's request for pumping tests of the known
hydrologic units. UEC recommends postponing conducting any pumping tests
pending the results of the CPT investigation to better design the tests and install
additional wells if necessary. EHD agrees with this recommendation. Such
