water-bearing interval. The other monitor wells will be used as observation wells during the
test. Water level meters in the observation wells will be used to measure drawdown over
time and determine the radius of influence of GT-10, as well as to estimate the
connectedness of the Modesto and Riverbank aquifers.
The extracted groundwater will be stored in a Baker tank, but the volume is unknown at this
time and will depend on the groundwater level at the time of the pumping test and the
transmissivity of the Modesto Formation aquifer.
The drawdown data will be graphed and used to determine the transmissivity of the aquifer.
This information will be used in designing an appropriate remediation system.
3.0 REPORTING
The results of the pumping test will be reported in the 3rd Quarter Report, which will be
prepared after groundwater samples have been collected and analyzed. Groundwater
sampling is presently scheduled for late September. The report should be completed by mid-
October.
