R' <br /> San Joaquin County EHD <br /> February 4, 2016 <br /> Page 4 <br /> Item 105 µEpLN <br /> The two employees assigned as coordinators, Richard Hansen and Michael Goodwin, have been <br /> enrolled in the CUPA Basic Hazardous Waste Management training class scheduled for February 9, <br /> 2016 in Stockton. This was the earliest date available at the time of enrollment. Once the training is <br /> complete, we will forward a copy of the certificates received. <br /> Attachments: Addendum 6 <br /> Copy of email reminder of training from San Joaquin County EHD <br /> Dated February 2, 2016 <br /> Preparedness and Prevention <br /> Item 301 <br /> All oil stained areas, including floors and carts, were cleaned. A metal cutting lathe was found to be <br /> leaking cutting fluid (oil) even when not in operation. The machine was sanitized and a small leak <br /> was repaired by replacing an oil sump drain tube. Shop personnel were instructed to clean all <br /> collected oil daily and to report any leaks in equipment. <br /> Attachments: Photo 301.1, 301.2, 301.3 — Showing floor in area of repaired lathe and an example of <br /> a cart that was cleaned <br /> Container Management <br /> Item 403 <br /> The two 5 gallon containers with an oily water mixture were transferred to 55 gallon hazardous waste <br /> accumulation tanks which were subsequently collected (see Item 605). Shop personnel were <br /> instructed to keep all containers sealed and to transfer any waste generated at a machine to the <br /> accumulation tank on a daily basis. A printed reference guide was prepared and posted at the <br /> accumulation area after being reviewed with the affected personnel. <br /> Attachments: Addendum 7 <br /> Motor Guard <br /> Hazardous Material Container Management Guide <br /> Revised January 2016 <br /> Item 406 <br /> A 55 gallon empty container which previously held hazardous waste, was labeled properly and <br /> marked with the date emptied.
