Box 7343
Stockton, CA 95207
RE: Exxon Service Stations IN REPLY REFER TO SITE CODE: 2231
4444 N. Pershing
Stockton, CA
The Exxon Corporation is currently conducting a site assessment to
determine the extent of contamination associated with their
previous underground storage tanks at 4444 N.Pershing Avenue,
Stockton. The full extent of groundwater contamination has not
been identified and due to the regional groundwater gradient, the
plume may have migrated beneath Crestwood, the property located at
1130 Monaco Court, Stockton.
In order to continue to characterize the plume, it is essential
that Exxon gain access to the hospital property to install a
groundwater monitoring well. Exxon has taken responsibility for
assessment and cleanup but has not been granted permission to
investigate groundwater conditions at 1130 Monaco Court.
Therefore, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental
Health Division is seeking your cooperation in allowing Exxon to
place a monitoring well on your property.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, contact
Harlin Knoll, RENS, at (209) 468-3442 .
Jogi Khana, , M.P.H.
Health Of 'c
rie A.
