(ETIC) plans to conduct an <br /> ozone/hydrogen peroxide injection pilot test at the above-referenced site for approximately 3 months. <br /> This pilot test will be conducted in accordance with the Work Plan for Chemical Oxidation Pilot Study <br /> dated July 2005, which has been approved by the Regional Water Quality Control Board and the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services. The test is anticipated to begin on 3 October 2005. The test will <br /> be conducted by injecting ozone and hydrogen peroxide into onsite wells IP1A,IP1B,IP2A,IP2B,IP3A <br /> and IP3B. The pilot test is being performed to gather information regarding the effectiveness and <br /> feasibility of insitu chemical oxidation as a viable technology for remediation the hydrocarbon impacted <br /> soil and groundwater onsite. The duration of the pilot test may be decreased based on the information <br /> gathered during the course of the test. <br /> Ozone and hydrogen peroxide will be injected using a system housed in a trailer located onsite. A soil <br /> vapor extraction system consisting of a blower and granular activated carbon for vapor abatement will be <br /> used in conjunction with the injection system. Groundwater and soil vapor will be monitored for <br /> hydrocarbons during the test.
