i <br /> APPENDIX H <br /> MAINTENANCE INTERVALS AND PARAMETERS FOR THE UVB <br /> 1. Maintenance Intervals: <br /> • Quarterly <br />' 2. Parameters to check: <br />' A Measure and record the height of the fresh air inlet above top of UVB-HDPE well <br /> head flange to see if rise or fall of floating (only) UVB system matches rise and - <br /> fall of static water level. <br /> iB Direction of rotation of blower fan should match the arrow on the fan housing - if <br /> it does not, have an electrician rewire the blower <br /> C Fan belt on blower for wear, replace or tighten as necessary (refer to blower <br /> specifications Section 5 for specifics, Appendix C) <br />' D Water content in moisture knock outremove all water after stripping,( PP g, if <br /> necessary) To strip water in moisture knock-out, open hose bib to allow for a <br /> minimum of 1 hour ambient air to be drawn into knock out <br /> E Cables holding packer(s) check for fraying and replace as necessary <br /> F Cables for tightness and twisting, if necessary deflate and reset packer to make <br />' cables tight or untwist (inflatable packer only) <br /> G Air pressure in packer, add air as necessary, maintain 3 0-3 5 bars (inflatable <br />' packer only) ----if the packer seal is good and the influent velocity is not within <br /> the range of section 3 12 1 2 C, the operator should leave the system running, and <br /> contact EA and IEG4 or a designated representative <br />' H Air hose(s) for wear replace as necessary (inflatable packer only) <br />' I Observe vacuum gauge readings, adjust sieve plate up or down, or open/close <br /> blower butterfly valve accordingly (2/5 blower only) to maintain desired negative <br /> pressure (negative pressure range 45 to 65 millibar or± 10% of original setting) <br />' T Buoyancy of UVB if applicable, UVB floating system should be able to move <br /> Y Y PP � g Y <br />' freely up or down If system is not floating and the cables and air lines are not <br /> tangled, contact EA and TEG®for assistance <br /> K Bearings on blower motor (yearly only) replace as necessary - see Section 5 in <br /> Blower Specifications, Appendix C <br />' WP61 73942 wP1096 TX 2 1 <br />
