Mrs, Roy Knoll
Roy's Towing
3570 East Miner Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
Subject: Revised Cost Estimate for Soil Sampling at Roy's Towing
3570 East Miner Avenue, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. and. Mrs. Knoll:
Ground Zero Analysis, Inc. is writing to provide you with this revised cost estimate for the
proposed soil sampling at the subject property. This estimate reflects certain modifications to
the sampling plan as agreed upon with Doug Wilson with San Joaquin Co. PHS/EHD. The
modifications include drilling one soil boring next to the leach field area to an estimated depth
of 40 feet and analysis for solvents (EPA 8010) in nine samples.
The workscope would consist of collecting soil samples at depths of 1 and 5 feet below ground
surface from ten (10) locations with a backhoe and hand auger and collecting samples from one
drilled boring at depths of 25, 30 and 40 feet; submitting approximately 16 soil samples for
laboratory analysis for total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbons (TRPH, EPA method 418.1)
and total lead; analyzing nine (9) samples for ehloAnated solvents (EPA method 8010); and
preparing a report detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. The cost estimate
assumes that up to four (4) additional soil samples may need to be analyzed for TRPH and total
lead, and up to four (4) soil samples may need to be analyzed for soluble threshold limit
concentration (STLQ lead. Per my discussions with Roy, we are assuming that you will
provide and operate the backhoe.
We estimate that the cost for the workscope outlined would be $ 8,725. The attached Exhibit
A provides more detail on the estimated costs.
