Emergency conditions are considered to exist if: <br /> - Any member of the project are is involved in an accident or experiences <br /> any adverse effects of symptoms of exposure while on site. <br /> - A condition is discovered that suggests the existence of a situation more <br /> hazardous than anticipated. <br /> 3.2 Emergency Procedures <br /> � y <br /> In rhe event of an emergency, the following emergency procedures should be <br /> followed. Personnel on site should use the "buddy" system (pairs). Buddies <br /> should prearrange hand signals or other mean rof communication. In emer- <br /> geodes the following hand signals"are suggested: <br /> Hand gripping throat: out of air, can't breathe. <br /> Grip partner's wrist or place both hands around waist: leave area <br /> immediately, no debate! <br /> - Hands on top of head: need assistance_ <br />
