ON-SITE CONTROL <br /> The Site Safety Officer will coordinate site access control and security. A exclusion zone will be <br /> established approximately 10-15 feet around boring location work areas.No unauthorized person <br /> shall be allowed within this exclusion area. <br /> 4.0. HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are known or suspected to be on site. <br /> Gasoline(TPH-g) unknown <br /> Volatile Or 'c Compounds unknown <br /> The primary hazards of each are identified as follows: <br /> 1. Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors. They are flammable and have low solubility in water. <br /> Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, <br /> nose, and throat imitation and can produce a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. <br /> Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations include headache, nausea, drowsiness, <br /> dizziness,and loss of coordination.Certain components of gasoline(STE&X etc.)are known <br /> or suspected carcinogens. <br /> The additional potential hazards include: SlipAdp-fall hazards,_noise, heavy equipment(i.e., drill <br /> rig),vibration hazards.traffic hazards, etc. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvlronmental,Ine. <br />
