Each hazardous waste tank and storage area shall be <br /> individually marked with the internationally <br /> recognized hazard identification system placards <br /> developed by the National Fire Prevention Association. <br /> e. The total volume of hazardous waste stored in tanks <br /> shall not exceed the designed capacity. <br /> 2. Containment <br /> a. For all containment areas, the owner or operator shall <br /> provide a spill containment system in accordance with <br /> the approved Operation Plan. Specifically, each <br /> hazardous waste storage area shall have a continuous <br /> base that is impervious to the waste stored, shall be <br /> designed and constructed so that any spills can be <br /> contained, and shall have sufficient capacity to <br /> contain ten percent of the total volume of the tanks <br /> or the volume of the largest tank, whichever isl <br /> greater. <br /> b. In addition to the requirements of item (a) above, <br /> outdoor uncovered containment areas shall contain all <br /> surface water runoff, exclude all surface water runon, l <br /> and contain precipitation from a 24-hour, 25-year <br /> storm. <br /> c.
