We intend to do what we can to ensure that these recommendations
are carried out in full.
Unfortunately, the letter does not go quite far enough. The central aim of our December 7 meeting was to
confirm that Chevron's ongoing groundwater investigation at the property will not jeopardize our ability to
move forward with the project. This point is implicit in your letter; it must be made explicit, however, in
order to have the level of assurance we need to proceed with the project. Accordingly we request that you
consider sending us another letter containing such a statement.
A proposed, additional sentence is enclosed for your consideration. We think this additional sentence is
consistent with the discussion at our December 7 meeting. This sentence, if included in the letter, would
meet our needs.
Thank you for your attention. We look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
A4 &V4
Kevin M.
