This work plan is
prepared in response to the identification of petroleum hydrocarbons with in the subsurface at the
subject property. These hydrocarbons were detected during the removal of CPL'S former crude oil
pipelines in the area. The pipelines have been out of service since the 1950's.
A description of the proposed soil sampling and well installation procedures is provided along with
a discussion of the previous work conducted at the site by Raney Geotechnical, as presented in
their Summary Report; "Observations and Soil Sampling During Removal of Crude Pipelines
Mountain View Townhomes site."
As you know, the property is currently planned to be developed by the Rural California Housing
Commission (RCHC). CPL is working with the RCHC to aid in the development of the property
in a timely manner. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.
Please review the work plan at your earliest convenience so that we can schedule field operations
as soon as possible. Contact Mr. Martin Bloes (510/842-6855) or me (510/842-6930) with any
remarks or questions.
Sincerely,
Attachments
cc: George Forsythe- EMCON/Fresno w/o attachments
Margaret Lagorio- San Joaquin County Public Health Services
