SITE CODE: 1190
1766 Mt. Diablo
Stockton, CA 95203
On August 9, 1993 San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD)
received verbal notification from Jeff Clayton with Walsh and Associates, Inc. of"free product"discovered in
an on-site monitoring well. He stated thickness exceeded 3 feet and depth to be approximately 18 feet below
ground surface.
Pursuant to Underground Storage Tank Regulations (California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Chapter 16,
Article 11 Health and Safety Code, Section 25299.77) corrective action is required.
To mitigate this condition and reduce groundwater loading, PHS/EHD directs you to begin passive "free
product removal" immediately.
A "Free Product Removal Report" must be submitted to PHS/EHD within 45 calendar days of release
confirmation. Minimum report requirements are listed in CCR T23 section 2655(e) and shall be included.
Reimbursement from the State Water Resources Control Board's (SWRCB) "Underground Tank Cleanup
Fund Program" is partially dependent on your compliance with PHS/EHD directives. Failure to comply may
result in enforcement action and may disqualify you from receiving reimbursement funds.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, contact Harlin Knoll, REHS, at (209) 468-3442.
Jogi Khanna, M.D., M.P.H.
Health Officer
Donna Heran, REHS, Pro Manager
Environmental Health Division
DH/HK:lb
c: Walsh & Associates, Inc.
1734 34th St., Ste B
Sacramento, CA 95816
A Division of San Joaquin Counry Health :are services 40
