The ground water remediation system was inoperable between May 2005 and late September 2007,
in order to observe the ground water chemical and geochemical parameters, for monitored natural
attenuation. The ground water extraction system ceased operation on 10 May 2005,as approved in
the Ground Water Monitoring-Natural Attenuation Work Plan, dated 21 March 2005.
• 09 September 2007 and 31 December 2007, approximately 385,295 gallons of impacted
ground water was treated with a total of five wells, for a total of 4,322,891 gallons of water
has been treated since ground water extraction began.
• December 2007 and December 2008, the pump-and-treat system extracted and treated
approximately 1,448,070 gallons of impacted ground water.A total of 5,282,962 gallons of
water has been treated since ground water extraction began in April 2002.During ground
water remediation between April 2002 and May 2005 an estimated 193 lbs of TPH-g were
extracted from ground water.During ground water remediation between December 2007 and
December 2008, an estimated 763.6 lbs of TPH-g were extracted from ground water.
The total weight of TPH-g extracted from the site with ground water extraction was 957 lbs or
153.12 gallons of gasoline.
The total weight of TPH-g extracted from the site with soil vapor extraction was 2,645 lbs of TPH-g
or 407 gallons of gasoline.
The current dissolved mass has been calculated at 0.75 gallons of total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline, based on the last sampling event from monitoring wells and remediation well samples.
The current adsorbed mass has been calculated at 38.98 gallons of total petroleum hydrocarbons as
gasoline, based on the last sampling event from extraction well samples and soil borings.
Based on site specific information, a release of a minimum of 3,000 gallons of gasoline was
documented through inventory reconciliation. This volume of gasoline is approximately 18,750 lbs
of TPH-g.
