SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The ground water table occurred within the screened interval of the well and the most likely source
of the extracted ground water was from.the highly permeable sand, encountered from 20 feet to 30
feet bsg.
The implications from the March 2001. aquifer ground water pumping tests are:
• During the constant-rate pumping test of 12 March 2001,ground water draw-down of at least
10 feet was observed in extraction, well VE-6 following 12 hours of continuous pumping
operation(3 GPM);ground water draw-down was observed in well T1 (located 5 feet to the
north.) at 1.9 feet, and in well T2 (located 15 feet toward the south) at 1..4 feet.
• During the constant-rate pumping test of 29 March 2001,ground water draw-down of at least
6.5 feet was observed iTi extraction well.MW-4 following 1.2 hours of continuous pumping
operation(2+GPM).Ground water draw-down was observed in well MW-1 (located 40 feet
to the north) at 0.63 feet and in well MW-7 (located 30 feet toward the east)at 0.52 feet.
• Utilizing a semi-logarithmic plot of ground water draw-down.vs. observation well distance
to pumping well(Jacob straight-line method),abest-fit line canbe utilized to project a radius
of influence that ranged from 35 feet to 55 feet at 3 gpm to 70 at 2 gpm.
• Utilizing the Distance-Drawdown.Method(Jacob straight-line method),atransmissiviitywas
calculated that ranged from 87.5 to 140 ftz/day(equivalent to 653 to 1,045 gallons per day/ft)
and a storativity value ranging from 0.08 to 0.032.
• Based on transmissivity values ranging from of 87.5 to 1.31.25 ft2/day and the aquifer
thickness equal to at least 1.5 ft(screen interval at EW-1),ah ydraulic conductivi.tyvalue was
cal.cul.ated to range from 42.3 to 65.3 ft/day,or 0.015 to 0.02 cm/s; a hydraulic conductivity
of 0.02 cm/s is consistent with a screened interval located within a. silty to clean sand
(Appendix F).
Advanced Gen Environmental,Inc-
