Facilities shall be maintained and operated to <br />minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could <br />threaten human health or the environment. Immediately manage the treated wood waste according to Title 22 <br />hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was <br />managed. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />Several piles of treated wood waste along the western fence line and one pile adjacent to the west side of the trailer <br />were observed on the ground without labels. Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per <br />month may store waste on site up to 90 days. Since it cannot be determined how long the treated wood waste has <br />been on site immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and <br />submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />Several piles of treated wood waste along the western fence line and one pile adjacent to the west side of the trailer <br />were observed on the ground without labels.
