Oily mop water is disposed of into the sink without first determining if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br />Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately stop <br />disposing of the oily mop water into the sink, make a hazardous waste determination for the oily mop <br />water, and manage it according"rX Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br />supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by 7-21-11. Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />11. The storage room for the drained used oil filters has dark and wet oil stains on the floor. Facilities <br />shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous <br />waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately <br />clean up the dark and wet oil stains, and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br />Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by 7-21-11. <br />Minor -Notice to Comply. <br />23. Two 55 gallon drums of drained used oil filters were left open and were not marked with an <br />accumulation start date. Used oil filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as <br />"drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. Immediately close the drums of <br />drained used oil filters. mark with an accumulation start date, and ensure that all used oil filters are <br />managed in this way. Class 11 Repeat Violation. <br />23. Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the years 2008 and 2009 were not found on site. <br />A copy of each bill of lading must be kept on site for at least three years. Immediately locate a copy of all <br />bills of lading for used oil filters for the last three years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the <br />EHD by 7-21-11.
