6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6.1 Site map showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation
test holes on the parcel: (See Attached.)
6.2 The minimum number of shallow and deep percolation tests were performed for each
parcel: The shallow percolation test holes were prepared on the proposed location for a septic
tank.
6.3 Description of the date, time and protocol used to prepare the test hole, including
depth and dimensions of hole, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak
(minimum 12 inches): The shallow test holes were excavated to a depth of 42 inches and 8 inches
in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of "pea gravel" in accordance with County Standards.
The shallow holes were prepared by Mike Toy of Dillon and Murphy on May 20, 2020 at 7:30
a.m. On May 21, 26, 27 and 28, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hours presoak period was started. The
holes were filled with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time.
6.4 Description of the date, time and condition of the test hole after the 24-hour soak period
(hole still intact, hole dry, preparation of hole, and depth of water used to presoak(minimum
12 inches): On May 22, 27, 28 and 29, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. the shallow test holes were dry. Six
inches of water were added to the holes and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The
shallow test passed the minimum County requirements.
6.5 The test conformed to SJC Policy EH 02-02 (correct depth,diameter,2" gravel,6"water
refill, correct readings recorded). The percolation tests conformed to San Joaquin County Policy
EHD 02-02.
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (including readings) was provided with REHS
verification signature. The rate was correctly calculated using the last reading. See Appendix
for Test Results Form.
Shallow Test
PERCOLATION
TEST HOLE DATE RATE
1 (Lot 3) 5/22/2020 50 min/in.
2 (Lot 4) 5/22/2020 50 min/in
3 (Lot 5) 5/22/2020 50 min/in
4 (Lot 7) 5/22/2020 41.6 min/in
5 (Lot 9) 5/22/2020 35.7 min/in
6 (Lot 13) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
7 (Lot 14) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
8 (Lot 15) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
9 (Lot 16) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
10 (Lot 17) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
11 (Lot 18) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
12 (Lot 19) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
13 (Lot 20) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
14(Lot 21) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
15 (Lot 22) 5/27/2020 50 min/in
16 (Lot 37) 5/28/2020 50 min/in
