1.0 INTRODUCTION/PREVIOUS WORK
.: This report is being submitted in response to a request by
the Stockton Department of Public Works to conduct a site
investigation on the grounds of the Regional Waste Water
Control Plant Facility at 2500 Navy Drive in Stockton
(Figure 1).
It is our understanding that a 5000 gallon diesel tank was
removed from this facility in August 1987 (Figures 2 and 3).
Free product was noted floating on groundwater within the
tank pit. A soil sample collected beneath the •tank at
approximately 8 feet recorded 65 ppm total petroleum
hydrocarbons as diesel. A cross sectional view of the tank
pit as shown on Figure 6 is depicted on Figure 7.
4 . Previously excavated soils have been stored on-site adjacent
to the tank pit as shown in Figure 3.
2.0 DATA REQUIRED BY THE REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD
` 2.1 Name and address of contact person:
Contact Person: Jim Escobar
r City of Stockton
Department of Public Works
n; City Hall
Stockton, CA 95320
(209) 944-8282
ti. 2.2 Map showing site location, relative to nearby landmarks:
The site location is shown on Figure 1.
