1 <br /> Recommendations <br />' Based on the type of petroleum hydrocarbons (diesel fuel) and low concentrations detected in the <br /> soil and water in the tank excavation the followingremedial activities are <br /> Proposed The free <br />' product floating on the water w7thu3 the tank pit ( estimated at 112 to 1 gallon)will be removed <br /> with a skimming device or absorbent pads 1 booms After the removal of free product from within <br /> the tank excavation,the diesel impacted soil which is present in the sidewalls will be excavated <br />' and placed in stockpile north of the existing a wavation The existing excavation is 16 Beet wide x <br /> 14 feet deep x 45 feet long for a total volume of 375 cubic yards Based on the sample data it is <br /> estimated that the final excavation will be 24 feet wide x 14 feet deep x 55 feet long for a total <br />' volume of 571 cubic yards of diesel impacted soil <br /> After removal of the diesel impacted soil and free product from the tank excavation, <br />' the tank excavation will be backfilled with clean imported pea gravel or equivalent <br />' The diesel impacted stockpiled soil which was removed from the tank excavation will be reused as <br /> a dust suppression road base material m the areas which are traffic designated areas within the <br /> property boundaries of the Learner Company, 2711 Navy Drive, Stockton CA <br /> 1 <br /> Limitations <br /> The findings presented in this report are based on professional rnterpretaoon of field observations <br /> and laboratory analysis Samples collected at other locarons may yield drffereat results <br /> 1 <br />' S <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br />
