Cherokee, Stockton <br />Program: HW <br />SUMMARY S <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR-Notic Com <br />304. No spill control or decontamination equipment were provided. Facility shall be equipped with <br />portable fire extinguishers, fire control equipment, spill control equipment, and decontamination <br />equipment for release of hazardous waste. Immediately provide spill control and decontamination <br />equipment, and submit evidence of correction to EHD by October 14, 2011. <br />404. Two approximately 6-7gallon containers of used oil were not closed since each lid has a drain -hole. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. <br />Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not <br />adding or removing waste and submit evidence of correction to EHD by October 14, 2011. <br />605 & 701. No hazardous waste label on one 55 -gallon drum of used oil, two approximately 6-7 gallon <br />containers of used oil, and one 55 -gallon drum of waste anti -freeze. All hazardous waste containers <br />shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties <br />4. physical state <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of <br />waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately label these <br />containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information. Since it cannot <br />be determined how long the above wastes have been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous <br />waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by <br />October 14, 2011. <br />610 & 611. Two 5 -gallon buckets and one pan of used oil filters were not stored in a container. Used oil <br />filters must be stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as "drained used oil filters," and marked <br />with an accumulation start date. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters per year may <br />store the filters up to one year.
