Please be advised that the following issut s have been addressed:
A 5 quart container of used motor oil adjacent to the two 55 gallon drums of hazardous
waste located outdoors within the enclosed gated fence have been removed. Container
was abandoned on his property. Per Jamil, he will take it to a used oil collection facility.
We confirmed with our franchisee that the container of used motor oil was removed on
August 24, 2010 and was taken to an auto parts store to be disposed of properly.
One 55 gallon drum of liquid hazardous waste has an initial start accumulation date of
02/2010. All hazardous waste can be stored onsite for up to 180 days=6 months. Ensure
the container is hauled by a licensed hazardous waste hauler and retain a copy of the
uniform hazardous waste manifest onsite for a minimum of 3 years. Our franchisee
confirmed that the drum is less than half full and that once it is half full it will be hauled by a
licensed hazardous waste hauler within 180 days=6 months.
The monitoring and response plans on site are not current and no approved by the EHD.
Monitoring Plan signed January 15, 2010 by Jennifer Marinas, PB Environmental
Compliance Specialist, lists incorrect models for the leak sensors: annular space, piping
sumps, under dispenser containment. No Red Jacket line leak detector onsite. The
monitoring and response plans must be current and approved by the EHD. Complete and
submit a copy of the monitoring and response plans for approval by the EHD by. An
approved copy will be returned for your records.
