Jennifer Frase [EH]
From: Bahram Kavousi [Bahram.Kavousi@yolocounty.org]
Sent: Tuesday, October 09, 2007 5:03 PM
To: Jennifer Frase [EH]
Subject: FW: TCI Tire Centers
Hello Jennifer,
Today I went to TCI Tire Center located at 1105 Terminal Center in West Sacramento. I spoke with Mr. Jesus
Guttierrez (Service Manager) and Mr. Howard Christman (Regional Director). I would like to mention that they
acknowledged their fault in not leaving manifests (CTL) for BJ Hunt and they also stated that their driver was new
and he did not know that he should leave a manifest.
Mr. Howard Christman added that they have had a meeting with their employees and they are now aware of the
manifest requirements.
At the time of inspection facility had manifests regarding hauling waste tires from the waste tire generators in
addition the facility disposes of their tires to TRI-C tire recycling. It is worth mentioning that some of their
manifests were not filled out properly in which it was brought up to their attention.
Thank you.
Bahram Kavousi
-----Original Message-----
From: Bahram Kavousi
Sent: Monday, October 08, 2007 4:42 PM
To: 'Jennifer Frase [EH]'
Subject: RE: TCI Tire Centers
Hi Jenni,
I am sorry that I could not respond to your e-mail sooner. I was off on Friday and this morning I had a couple
of inspections and I just noticed your e-mail.
As you may know in Yolo County there two TCI tire centers. One is located at 1105 Terminal St. (TPID# 1249177-
01) and the other one is located at 3740 Seaport Blvd. (TPID# 1001361-01).
In the past I have inspected both of the facilities. I also issued a notice of violation for TCI located at 3740 Seaport
for not having
De-Cal stickers on their trucks. The other facility did not have any violation.
You are absolutely right if they are hauling more than nine tires they must leave a manifest(CTL or EDT) for the
facility.
I must inspect both of the mentioned facilities and they're due for inspection. If you want I will let them know about
your findings and hopefully they will be able to answer your questions regarding their manifests and their invoices.
I would like to thank you for informing me about this facility and please feel free to contact me if you have any
question.
Sincerely,
Bahram Kavousi., M.s
Hazardous Materials Specialist III
Yolo County Environmental Health Department
(530) 666-8646
-----Original Message-----
From: Jennifer Frase [EH] [mailto:jfrase@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Friday, October 05, 2007 9:25 AM
To: Bahram Kavousi
Subject: TCI Tire Centers
10/10/2007
