Periodic self -reviews by
Ryder facility personnel are required every 5 years
or whenever technical changes occur at the facility.
The Plan must be filed with the state and a copy
must be filed on-site.
Any significant facility changes, such as
increase/decrease/modification of storage tanks, must
be reported to Ryder's Environmental Services group.
SPCC Plans must be modified/revised by the engineer
when significant facility changes occur.
Employee training requirements and facility spill
prevention procedures described in the SPCC Plan are
site-specific.
Actions Needed:
• Determine if you have aboveground storage
volumes that exceed allowable limits.
Contact Ryder Environmental Services for
assistance if needed.
• If an SPCC Plan is required at your site, find
your Plan. Make sure it is current.
• Review the training and emergency
procedures outlined in the SPCC Plan and
make sure employees have been trained and
training has been recorded.
• Review the Ryder Environmental Policy and
Control Manual, Procedure No. 6.4, Spill
Prevention Control and Countermeasures, for
Ryder requirements regarding these plans.
