COMPANY COMMERCIAL LEASING AND SERVICES <br />POSITION: SERVICE ISLAND ATTENDANT <br />SEP 15 2015 <br />[-NVIRONMENTA! . <br />!_1 r� 1 Tim '11-'^1r ^7•+ r^ �T <br />This job analysis was performed April 21 and 22, 1992 at the Ryder Maintenance <br />facility on NW 87 Ave., Miami, FL. The job analyzed was for Service Grade I - III, <br />who is responsible for pumping gas and inspecting dropped -off vehicles. <br />Essential functions were determined to be: <br />1. Pumping gas <br />2. Inspecting dropped -off vehicles <br />3. Cleaning inside and windshields of dropped -off vehicles <br />4. Washing trucks <br />Marginal activities were determined to be: <br />1. Changing tires on the premises when needed. (This would be an essential <br />function in a smaller shop. See description of this activity in analysis of tire <br />changer.) <br />2. Inspecting refrigeration units on trucks <br />3. Driving trucks to washing or repair areas <br />4. Emptying trash <br />5. Cleaning pump/island area <br />Tasks were analyzed as follows: <br />1. Pumping Gas <br />This task is performed consistently throughout the day by one person at a time. <br />Workers unscrew the gas caps on the trucks, remove the handle from the pump, <br />and insert it into the gas tank. The lever on the handle is compressed and a latch is <br />moved into place so that the gas can be dispensed without the attendant's constant <br />attention. Once the tank is filled, the handle is returned to the side of the pump. <br />The gas cap is then returned to the tank. A receipt is filled out on each truck and a <br />copy given to the driver <br />Physical Requirements: <br />Standing- <br />To pump gas <br />Walking - <br />Between pump and truck <br />Handling- <br />Gas cap and pump handle <br />Seeing- <br />To place pump handle <br />Speaking - <br />To drivers for instructions <br />Writing- <br />Receipt <br />
