Hammer Lane <br />Stockton, CA. <br />Dear Ms. Foley, <br />W.- in 0 !w <br />LP <br />AUG 13 1930 <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br />PERMIT/SERVICES <br />This letter is to reiterate the highlights of our phone conversation on July 30, 1990, <br />concerning the fuel leak at the above referenced site. <br />Exceltech , Inc. on behalf of Quik Stop Markets will perform the following work, <br />addressing the spill of approximately 200 gallons of unleaded fuel contained in the backfill. <br />The work will consist of the following procedures: <br />1. The tank complex will be exposed: <br />A. TLV readings will be constantly monitored. <br />B. A foam agent will be used to reduce the possibility of sparking. <br />C. A fan will be on site to ventilate the working area. <br />2. The backfill material and fuel will be removed: <br />A. A super sucker (vacuum truck) will remove the pea gravel, and fuel. <br />B. All liquid fuel will be hauled (with manifest) from the site. <br />C. Pea gravel mill be sampled and stock piled. <br />3. Samples of native soil beneath the tanks will be obtained: <br />A. Samples, approximately 3-5 feet into native soil beneath the leaks will be <br />taken. <br />B. No sampling will be done without the percents of Ms. Foley. <br />
