They are recQg. <br />nixable by the round top, If line pressure falls to below 4. PSI <br />they will perform a line test which takes about 5 seconds. <br />JULY, 1976 THE CURRENT MQPEL WAS INTRODUCED.. <br />This unit has a hexagon shaped top, it does not perform <br />a line test unless line pressure falls to below 1 PSI. It r9 - <br />quires approximately 2 seconds to perform, the line test. <br />The leak detector can be easily mounted on top of any 4" <br />Red Jacket submersible pump or can be.used with-olderor <br />other submersible pumps by using adaptor housing-mpd, <br />08-072 (see below). <br />The standard unit Is designed for use with 1h, %, & 11% <br />HP pumps with flows up to 70 GPM. For flows from 75 GPM <br />to 250 GPM, use the Big Flo leak detector (see below). <br />FolloWing are the charapteriglica of the Red Jacket sye• <br />tem which you demanded: <br />1. After completion of the two-second test the Red Jacket <br />leak signal Is Indicate on y w en a ru oak is present, <br />not Just a pressure drop resulting from system resili- <br />ence or thermal contraction. <br />2. The leak signal does not completely shut down opera• <br />tion of the system. <br />3. The signal will affect normal operations sufficiently to <br />call for early investigation and remedial action. <br />4. Minor teaks are indicated, however, no service Interrup• <br />tion occurs. <br />5. A Leak Detector can be installed In any position end is <br />not sensitive to vibration. <br />6.
