Beginning January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all new(or any changes to existing) hazardous waste information online to the CERS at http://cers.calepa.ca.gov. Be sure to include your hazardous waste activity in the Businesses Activities section in CERS in addition to any other relevant activities and required fields. This is a Class violation. 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. A black 250 gallon container of used oil on the east side of the shop was not properly labeled . All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: -the words"Hazardous Waste" -name and address of generator -hazardous properties -physical state -composition (contents) -accumulation start date This was corrected on site. This is a repeat violation, Class 11. 606 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. A black 55 gallon drum of drained used oil filters on the east side of the shop did not have an accumulation start date . Used oil filters shall be drained of free-flowing oil, stored in a closed, rainproof container, labeled as"drained used oil filters," and marked with an accumulation start date. This was corrected on site. This is a repeat violation, Class II.
