07.0 EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br />The following are instructions for facility personnel about proper actions to be taken for personal safety and <br />the procedures that are to be implemented to help guide management efforts during an emergency <br />situation. <br />7.1 MEDICAL EMERGENCIES <br />Dart Container's in-house First Responder Team , Supervisors or other employees <br />trained in First Aid/CPR/AED/02 will provide first aid until Emergency Medical Service (EMS) <br />responders arrive. <br />1. To request an AMBULANCE / MEDIC: ■ i <br />a. Dial 9 — then 9-1-1 from any plant phone <br />b. Provide the dispatcher with the following information: <br />Nature of medical emergency: What is the problem ? <br />• Location of emergency: address, building number, nearest door # <br />• Your name, the phone number and extension you are calling from <br />0 C. Send a person to wait outside the building to direct responders <br />2. To summon assistance from DART'S in -plant First Aid Responders: <br />a. DIAL : 85 (Plant -wide EMERGENCY PAGE Number) <br />b. For a medical emergency, Say Message Below Very Clearly: <br />"Attention First Aid Responders, Report to" (state exact location) <br />3. An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a device <br />used to "shock" the heart in the event of cardiac arrest or <br />fibrillation.
