• <br />0 <br />C. Do not put any type of hot object, such as cigarette butts in trash cans. <br />d. All employees will know the evacuation routes and exits and will proceed to them <br />when instructed. <br />3.3 TYPICAL FIRE AND WORKPLACE HAZARDS <br />a. Flammables such as Diesel Fuel, Alcohol, & Pentane, which is a component of our <br />foam cup products can be easily ignited by static, heat or open flame. <br />b. Flammable Liquids such as Isopropyl Alcohol and others are used throughout the <br />complex. They should be properly stored in "Flammables" cabinets. <br />C. Electrical circuits can create a fire hazard from worn, cut or frayed wiring and <br />machine cords. <br />d. Electrical appliances/equipment such as coffee pots, microwaves, portable <br />heaters, machines, etc. if left unattended could overheat and create a fire. <br />e. Compromised Fire Controls <br />1. Fire doors blocked <br />2. Storage and trash in unapproved areas <br />3. Storage closer than 3 feet to sprinkler head <br />Housekeeping <br />Good housekeeping is the responsibility of ALL employees. <br />Q <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />7. <br />Waste materials are to be discarded in their proper <br />places. <br />Heat producing equipment shall be maintained in good working order and a <br />minimum of 36 inches from combustible items. <br />Personnel are responsible to keep their work areas neat and orderly. <br />All aisles and exits shall be kept clear. <br />Access areas to all fire equipment such as fire extinguishers and pull stations <br />shall be kept clear. <br />Emergency telephone numbers & 911 are posted on/next to all telephones. <br />Each Supervisor will be responsible to properly train their employees who are <br />required to handle, store and maintain hazardous materials. <br />All fire/smoke doors are to remain unobstructed from their intended function of <br />slowing the spread of fire and smoke. <br />g. Maintenance of Fire Equipment and Systems <br />1. Primary maintenance of the fire sprinklers, fire pumps and alarm system is the <br />responsibility of the Facilities Department. <br />4 <br />
