The results of the findings did not detect the presence of total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline, nor the presence of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, or total xylenes
in ground water. This represents the second successive ground water sampling event in which
target constituents were not detected.
Fugro acknowledges that soil contamination is present at the location of the former
underground storage tank. However, the source of the contamination has been removed; the soil
plume appears to be stable; no water wells, deeper drinking water aquifers, surface water, or other
sensitive receptors are likely to be impacted; and the site appears to present no significant risk
to human health or safety.
Because of uncertainties in the near-term direction regarding cleanup of low-risk soils only
and low-risk ground water contaminated sites, Fugro recommends to continue the ground water
monitoring and sampling program until appropriate guidance is received from the State and
Regional Water Quality Control Boards. If you have any questions or comments please give us
a call.
Sincerely,
FUGRO WEST, INC.
Alan Jl Klein, R.E.A. e me K S rlin, C.E.
Senior Environmental Scientist M ager of Environmental Operations
cc: Ms. Pamela Lopez c/o Mr. Bob Holiday
9647-0771.chd A member of the Fugro group of companies with offices throughout the world
