I would like to add additional comments to item <br /> r numbers 5,7 and 8, <br /> The open pit was a safety la zard aad I wrote a letter to the San Joaquin La II Health District <br /> (SUM) in 1987 requcs*a decision and instruction from ULM to return the earavated soil if the <br /> analytical am-I*vow no contamination. I received no response. ENScO Environmental Services followed <br /> up with a letter to Ift.Gordon Boggs,CVRWQcB,on July 1,1988,outlining a proposal to collect eight soil <br /> sampler from the pile and to have the laboratory composite the eight samples and run an analysis on the <br /> composite sample, We received no regpease, As stated in RMA's response,%t the time <br /> and cutrsatly is <br /> IQ=ace`s,one WMPosite sample was/is considered <br /> adaluatelyrepreseatativefor avoltitrle of god coasiderabIy <br /> less thaw 50 cubic yards". 7be eight samples were drawn,camposited and arWyzo& The nusult of the analysis <br /> ' Rhowed no contamination. The results were reported to CVRWQCB and PIMM and we rsreived no <br /> comments. the pilad soil was returned to the pit in 1990. <br /> I have baa involved with this project from its inception and have made every cffact to comply with <br /> PHSUM requirements for the .mlediatioa of this contamination.
