Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> t <br /> s <br /> RE: 1991 Third Quarter Groundwater Monitoring Activities/Remediation System <br /> Performance Report, Tri-Valley Growers, 26200 Nowell Road, Thornton, <br /> California. <br /> Dear Mary: <br /> This letter report updates RESNA Industries/WaterWork's (RESNA's) activities at Tri-Valley <br /> Growers' Thornton plant (Figure 1) during the third quarter of 1991. Activities during the <br /> quarter included monitoring of groundwater, sampling for dissolved hydrocarbons from the five <br /> monitoring wells on site, operation and maintenance of the remediation system, analysis of <br /> samples from the treatment system influent (well MW4) and carbon filter effluent (Figure 2). <br /> Remediation system operation began on May 13, 1991. <br /> V. Groundwater monitoring was conducted in July,August,and Sepr¢mber. Groundwater gradient F <br /> maps reflect a depression created by pumping of the groundwater in monitoring well MW4 <br /> (Figures 2 through 4). The cone of depression around the pumping well and the area of <br /> influence are demonstrated in these maps. The groundwater monitoring data is summarized in <br /> Table 1. <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from five monitoring wells on September 12, 1991 after <br /> ANN - -- <br /> stabBiZatidn of pH, electrical conductivity (EC) and temperature. The monitoriag wells were <br /> purged using dedicated submersible pumps. Well purge logs are included in Attachment 1. <br /> �� TVGQM923.wP <br />
