6W PRELIMINARY SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT <br /> American Transfer Company <br /> 2701 South Highway 99 <br /> Stockton,California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Ron Gristch of American Transfer Company,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> `'r Inc. (AGE)has prepared this Preliminary Site Assessment Report for the property located at 2701 <br /> r South Highway 99, Stockton,California(site). This report presents the results of the soil assessment <br /> performed at the site. The Preliminary Site Assessment was performed in accordance with AGE's <br /> 20 August 1998 Work Plan (AGE, 1998). The Work Plan was approved by San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD) on 25 August 1998. <br /> The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 -Location Map. A plan of the site including soil <br /> probe boring locations, is illustrated in Figure 2 -Site Plan. <br /> l.. <br /> I.I. PURPOSE <br /> ir. <br /> The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the extent of diesel impacts in soil and/or ground . <br /> water related to the former operation of underground storage tanks (USTs) 'at the site. The <br /> investigation was performed in response to PHS-EHD's 02 June 1998 directive to Mr. Gristch. <br /> 1.2. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The scope of this investigation consisted of advancing four soil probe borings within and <br /> surrounding the area of the former UST and fuel dispenser locations, collection of soil samples for <br /> laboratory analysis, and preparation of this report presenting AGE's _findings, conclusions, and <br /> recommendations. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND ' <br /> The site is located in an unincorporated industrial/commercial area of Stockton, California, along <br /> 6W the South Highway 99 Frontage Road (Figure 1). American Transfer_ Company presently operates <br /> a trucking facility on the property. <br /> LW <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> V' The majority of the site. consists of unpaved open area used for truck and trailer storage. Two <br /> structures, consisting of an office building and a shop building, are located on the property <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
