Advancement of five soil borings to demonstrate the efficaciousness of the soil vapor extraction system <br /> in locations: <br /> • Where previous soil samples had been collected for direct comparison of laboratory analytical <br /> data of pre-remediation samples to post-remediation samples; and <br /> • In the hydrocarbon-impacted area,but not immediately adjacent to the vapor extraction wells, <br /> where pre-remediation hydrocarbon concentrations can be modeled between known data points. <br /> 2. Soil borings will be advanced to a total depth of 50 feet below surface grade(bsg)to ascertain soil <br /> lithology;soil samples having field indications of petroleum hydrocarbons,using the PID or visual <br /> inspection,will be sent to a California-certified environmental laboratory for analysis. <br /> 3. Grab groundwater samples will be collected in the interval between 46 and 50 feet bsg to assess the <br /> vertical extent of impacted groundwater;and <br /> 4.
