4../
Advanced
r
GeoEnvironmentaig --
07
10 March 2000
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0137
Mr. Ron Rowe
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)
304 East Weber Avenue, P Floor
Stockton, CA 95202
Suaicct, Remedial Action Work Plan Addendum
RIPON FARM SERVICE
22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California.
Dear Mr. Rowe:
At your direction, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Remedial Action
Work Plan Addendum to supplement the Remedial Action Work Plan (RAWP) dated 20 January
2000, prepared for the Ripon Farm Service located at the above referenced address.
The RAWP detailed the design of a soil vapor extraction/in-situ air sparging(SVE/IAS)remediation
system for the petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground water at the site.
Clean Up Goals:
Clean up goals for the beneficial use of the ground water should be applied to ground water at the
RFS site. A domestic water well is located within the plume of impacted ground water and several
other wells are located within 200 feet to 2,000 feet of the unauthorized release area, therefore, the
highest and best use of the water at the RFS site is for human consumption. Clean up standards for
ground water are set forth in the plan for the Central Valley Basin. 'f lie standards are based on&,c
Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL) for the constituents of concern in drinking water. The
constituents of concern and the associated MCLS are:
• TPH-d and TPH-g, have no MCL, however a general odor/taste threshold of 100 milligram
per liter (mg/l) should be suitable for the RFS site.
• Benzene with an MCL of 0.001 mg/l
• Toluene with an MCL of 0.15 mg/l
• Ethylbenzene with an MCL of 0.7 mg/l
• Xylene with an MCL of 1.75 mg/l
• MTBE with an MCL of 0.01 mg/l
4005 North Wilson Way, SLocicton,California 95205
Telephone(209)467-1006 FAX(209)467-1 1 1 R
