INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Allan Fetters (Ripon Farm Service Inc ),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE)has prepared this report of environmental activities conducted at 22871 South Highway 99, <br /> Ripon,California(the site) The location of the site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 <br /> Structures,monitoring wells and remediation well locations associated with the site are depicted on <br /> Figure 2 .SA , 1 <br /> This report documents the ground water sampling activities conducted on 10 February 2006, 22 ,� <br /> February 2006, 07 March 2006, and the quarterly ground water monitoring conducted on 06 Apnl-� <br /> 2006 The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)directed Ripon Farm <br /> Service (RFS) to conduct a groundwater investigation at the RFS facility (CVRWQCB, July 16, <br /> 2004) The objective of the investigation was to determine if activities at the RFS facility have <br /> contributed to high nitrate concentrations reported in the on-site domestic well and City of Ripon <br /> Municipal Water Supply Well MW-12 The work was performed in accordance with procedures <br /> outlined in Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, dated 30 August 2004 and approved by the <br /> CVRWQCB by letter dated 22 October 2004 Background information,including details of previous <br /> site assessment work, is presented in Appendix A <br /> This report is prepared in accordance with CVRWQCB guidelines by a Professional Geologist as <br /> defined in Chapter 12 5 Article 4, Section 7850 of the Business and Professions Code <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> The monitoring and sampling of ground water monitoring wells were performed in accordance with <br /> CVRWQCB guidelines Quarterly ground water monitoring activities were conducted on 06 April <br /> 2006,monitoring wells MW-101 through MW-104,and MW-5 were monitored and sampled Also <br /> included in this report are sampling events that took place on 10 February, 22 February, and <br /> 07 March 2006 <br /> 21 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION AND SAMPLING/ANALYSIS <br /> February 10, 2006 Sampling Event <br /> On 10 February 2006 monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-10 were purged and sampled as part <br /> of the on-going petroleum hydrocarbon underground storage tank investigation At that time, <br /> samples were also collected and submitted for analysis for nitrate as nitrogen(NO3-N)in accordance <br /> with EPA methods EPA 300 0 or 300 1 Prior to sampling, depth-to-water measurements were <br /> obtained and each well was purged of at least three casing volumes of water prior to sampling The <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
