Quarterly Report - May 1999 <br /> RIPON FARM SERVICE <br /> 22871 South Highway 99 <br /> Ripon, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Ripon Farm Service (RFS),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this report for ground water monitoring and sampling activities conducted at <br /> 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California(the site) <br />' The report documents ents the sampling activities performed at the site on 25 and 26 May 1999, and the <br />' results of laboratory analysis of the samples The objective of the work was to monitor ground water <br /> conditions and concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons and selected fuel additives in <br /> ground water at the site The location of the site and its surroundings aie illustrated in Figure 1 <br />' Structures and monitoring well locations associated with the site are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented in the <br />' April 1996 Quarterly Report prepared by AGE, dated 20 June 1996 <br /> 2,0. PROCEDURES <br /> Monitoring and sampling activities were conducted in accordance with both the San Joaquin County <br /> ' Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> On 25 May 1999,a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in wells <br /> ' MW-1 through MW-8 and in the soil vapor well casing and the air-sparging well casing of wells <br /> VW-I and VW-2 The depths to ground water are summarized in Table I <br /> ' On 25 May 1999, ground water monitoring wells MW-I through MW-8 and the air-sparging well <br /> casing of wells VW-I and VW-2 had a minimum of three well-volumes of ground water purged from <br /> the casings, using a pre-cleaned, two-stage submersible pump <br /> ' On 26 May 1999 the soil vapor well casings of wells VW-1 and VW-2 had a minimum of three well- <br /> volumes of ground water purged from the casings, using a pre-cleaned,two-stage submersible pump <br /> Monitoring wells MW-I and MW-2 were purged of approximately 10 gallons of water,wells MW-3 <br /> through MW-5 were purged of approximately 8 gallons of water, wells MW-6 through MW-8 were <br /> Adianced GeoEn%ironmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
