' 09 July 1999
AGE-NC Project No 95-0137
4.0. CONCLUSIONS
Based upon data collected during the May 1999 monitoring event, AGE concludes
P S
• The ground water monitoring wells located in the on and off the site areas are representative
of the water table for the shallow ground water at the site and provide representative sample
of the current dissolved hydrocarbons in ground water at the site While wells on-site in the
former US Ts area(air-sparging wells VW-1 and VW-2)provide ground water sampling data
for a depth specific zone of 25 feet bsg to 30 feet bsg
' The highest concentration dissolved hydrocarbons as TPH-g continues to be in the area of
monitoring well MW-2 and soil vapor wells VW-1 and VW-2, south and southeast of well
MW-2 While, the highest concentration dissolved hydrocarbons as TPH-d was in the area
' of monitoring well MW-6 (off-site)
Benzene was detected at the greatest concentration in ground water well MW-2 at 880 µg11
• MTBE was detected at low concentrations in samples from wells MW-1 and MW-3
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
' Based upon ground water data collected from the site, AGE recommends the following
• A Corrective Action Plan(CAP) has been prepared for the PHS-EHD Implement the CAP
on approval from the PHS-EHD and cost-approval from the State Water Resources Control
Board - Underground Storage Cleanup Fund (USTCF)
' • The next quarterly monitoring at the site should be scheduled for August 1999
1 6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic conditions
' at the site have been made from a limited number of available data points (i a monitoring wells and
water samples),and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty,
expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
Advanced GcoEnnironmcnlal,Inc
