INTRODUCTION ��b�-Z <br /> At the request of Mr. Allan Fetters, Advanced Ge vironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this <br /> report of environmental activities conducted at 2�South Highway 99, Ripon, California (the <br /> site).The location of the site and surroundingarea are illustrated on Figure 1.Structures,monitoring <br /> g <br /> wells and remediation well locations associated with the site are depicted on Figure 2. The report <br /> . documents the installation of two ground water monitoring wells,well development and analytical <br /> results from soil samples collected off the site.This report also documents the procedures and results <br /> of the quarterly ground water monitoring event performed on 04 May 2005; a total of ten ground <br /> water monitoring wells were monitored and sampled.Background information,including details of <br /> previous site assessment work, is presented in Appendix A. <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> The monitoring well installation was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank <br /> Ile (UST) sites and in accordance with procedures outlined in the AGE prepared work plan Additional <br /> Site Assessment Work Plan dated 01 November 2004 and approved by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department(EHD)be letter dated 13 January 2005.Ground water monitoring <br /> ' and sampling were performed in accordance with EHD guidelines for the sampling of ground water <br /> monitoring wells. Quarterly ground water monitoring activities were conducted on 04 May 2005; <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-10 were monitored and sampled. <br /> 2.1. MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION AND DEVELOPMENT <br /> Two off-site round water monitoring wells MW-9 and MW-10 were installed on 15 April 2005 <br /> g g ( ) p <br /> ' developed and sampled on 04 May 2005. <br /> ' 2.1.1. Drilling and Sampling <br /> The two soil,pilot borings for monitoring wells MW-9 and MW-10 were advanced using a <br /> CME75HT drill rig,equipped with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers. The drill rig and three- <br /> man crew were supplied by Cascade Drilling Inc. Auger returns generated by drilling were <br /> containerized in plastic sheeting on the site, pending laboratory analysis of the soil samples. <br /> ' Soil samples were collected ahead of the drill bit using a California modified split-spoon sampler <br /> . loaded with three pre-cleaned 2-inch by 6-inch brass sleeves.
