' 13 June 2005'
• AGE-NC Project No. 95-0137
3.2. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g, TPH-d and BTEX compounds were not detected in the ground water samples. The lead
scavenger 1,2-DCA was the only contaminant detected,at a concentration of 33 micrograms per liter
(gg/1) in the sample from well MW-4. The analytical results are summarized in Tables 2 and 3. A
copy of the laboratory report (CTEL Project Number CT214-0501099), quality assurance/quality
' control (QA/QC) report, and chain of custody form are included in Appendix C. Documents
confirming the upload of laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water
measurements to GeoTracker are included in Appendix D.
1
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
IBased on the data collected from the site, AGE finds:
' • The ground water depth remained stable between the fourth quarter 2004 and first quarter
2005 ground water monitoring events. The ground water flow direction was inferred to be
northwest at a significant hydraulic gradient east of well MW-1, but at an essentially flat
' gradient west of well MW-1.
• Dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations were below detection limits in first quarter
' 2005.
• Dissolved 1,2-DCA concentrations generally have been declining; 1,2-DCA has not been
detected in well MW-2 for two consecutive quarters and well MW-1 for three consecutive
quarters. However, the concentrations in well MW-4 are still above the DHS' Maximum
Contaminant Level (MCL) of 0.5 µg/1 in drinking water.
r
r5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report and previous
investigations, AGE recommends:
1
• Continuation of the quarterly ground water monitoring program; the next monitoring event
' is scheduled for April 2005.
• The AGE-prepared Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 01 November 2004, has
been approved by the EHD by letter dated 12 January 2005.AGE will commence work after
rsecuring an access agreement from the City of Ripon for off-site encroachment.
' Advimeed GcoEnvironmentai,Inc.
r
