�iQuarterly Report - First and Second Quarters 2002 <br /> RIPON FARM SERVICE <br /> ' 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr Allan Fetters, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> report of corrective action activities conducted at 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California(the <br /> site) The location of the site and its surroundings are Illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and <br /> monitoring and remediation well locations associated with the site are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> This report documents two ground water monitoring events conducted In February and June 2002 <br /> and the operation, maintenance and monitoring of an in-situ air-spargmg (IAS) and soil vapor <br /> extraction(SVE) system from January to June 2002 Background information, including details of <br /> previous site assessment work, was presented in the AGE-prepared Corrective Action Plan, dated <br /> 01 June 1999 <br /> ' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> All field work was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> lie Board <br /> (CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites Soil- <br /> vapor extraction and in-situ air spargmg monitoring were preformed in accordance with procedures <br /> outlined in the Revised Remedial Action Work Plan Addendum and Remedial Action Work Plan, <br /> prepared by AGE and approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD) by letter, dated 21 April 2000 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 1 SOIL-VAPOR/IN-SITU AIR SPARGING <br /> ' A soil vapor extraction/in-situ air spargmg system(SVE/IAS)has been in operation since December <br /> 2000 The system was monitored monthly during operation and after re-start events During each <br /> ' monitoring event,the SVE flow rate,vacuum(potential)and concentrations of hydrocarbons in the <br /> extracted soil-vapor were measured and a set of soil-vapor samples were collected by AGE <br /> personnel In addition,the dissolved oxygen in the ground water wells was measured to monitor the <br /> ' efficiency of the IAS system <br /> 2 1 1 Soil Vapor System Monitoring and Sampling <br /> The flow rate of extracted soil-vapor(influent) was measured using an direct measure flow meter, <br /> ' a magnehelic vacuum gauge was used to measure the vacuum potential at the two inch Influent line <br /> . The organic vapor concentrations in the extracted soil-vapor stream was measured before entering <br /> the blower (influent stream) and after exiting the carbon units (effluent stream) using an organic <br /> Advanced GeoEovironmental,Inc <br />
