1 <br /> t , <br /> r i ' <br /> Quarterly Report - June 1997 <br /> RIPON FARM SERVICE <br /> - 22871 South Highway 99 <br /> Ripon, California <br /> 1 <br /> 1 <br /> 10. ,'}INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> In accordance with a request from Ripon Farm Service (RFS),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this report for ground water monitoring and sampling activities conducted at h <br /> 22871 South Highway 99, Ripon, California (the site) The report'documents the monitoring and <br /> sampling activities performed at the site on 30 June 1997 and the laboratory results of analysis of <br /> the samples The scope of work was to assess and monitor the lateral extent and concentrations of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted ground water at the site The location of the site and its surroundings are <br /> illustrated in Figure 1 -Location Map Structures and monitoring well locations associated with the <br /> site are depicted in Figure 2 - Site Plan 1 <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work was presented in the <br /> April 1996 Quarterly Report prepared by AGE, dated 20 June 1996 m. <br /> t Monitoring and sampling activities were conducted in accordance with both%the San Joaquin County, <br /> Public Health Services - EnvironmentaI Health Division (PHS-EHD) and the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of <br /> w underground storage tank (UST) sites _ <br /> 20 PROCEDURES <br /> 2,1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br /> On 30 June 1997,a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in wells <br /> MW-I through MW-5 The relative ground water elevation in each well and hydraulic gradient were , <br /> calculated from these data The depths to ground water are summarized in Table I - Relative Ground <br /> - Water Elevations Each monitoring well was purged of approximately 8 gallons of water (a <br /> minimum of three well volumes) using'a pre-cleaned, two-stage, submersible pump Temperature, <br /> pH, and conductivity were measured at approximately one-gallon intervals using an ICM Water <br /> ' Analyzer Model No 52200 The field data sheets are included in Appendix A Purged water was <br /> stored on-site in 55-gallon drums <br /> s <br /> 1 <br /> 2 2 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION - <br /> } <br /> After stabilization of ground water pH, temperature and conductivity readings and ground water <br /> elevation had stabilized, water samples were collected from each well using new, clean, disposable <br /> T <br />
